CPP30411 Certificate III Licensing Course
This course is the fundamental Certificate III Security operations course to apply for an unarmed guard and crowd controller licence. This qualification focuses on the development of the skills and knowledge to undertake a supervisory role or potentially become the owner of your own Security Firm.
CPP30411 Certificate III Functions Course
This course is for those who already hold Certificate II in Security operations or a current Security Provider licence. The elective units allow an individual to train in the fields of the security industry such as; Security Monitoring, Cash in Transit (CIT), Body Guard and can include Security Firearms Training and Weapons Training (handcuffs and baton).

The program is delivered over a period of fourteen (14) months, specifically, fifty (50) weeks allowing for scheduled holiday periods. The structure is two (2) face to face training day per week with a duration of eight (8) hours

AQF Volume of Learning
AQF Description Breadth, depth and complexity of knowledge and skills would prepare a person to perform in a range of varied activities or knowledge application where there is a clearly defined range of contexts in which the choice of actions required is usually clear and there is limited complexity in the range of options to be applied.
Performance of a prescribed range of functions involving known routines and procedures and some accountability for the quality of outcomes. Applications may include some complex or non-routine activities involving individual responsibility or autonomy and /or collaboration with others as part of a group or team.
The volume of learning of a Certificate III is typically 1 - 2 years. The notional duration of the Volume of Learning is calculated on the basis that a student has no prior skills and knowledge.
Volume of Learning The definition provided by the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) 2nd Edition January 2013:
“The volume of learning is a dimension of the complexity of a qualification. It is used with the level criteria and qualification type descriptor to determine the depth and breadth of the learning outcomes of a qualification. The volume of learning identifies the notional duration of all activities required for the achievement of the learning outcomes specified for a particular AQF qualification type. It is expressed in equivalent full-time years.”
Delivery for new entry students
The Volume of Learning for this program is 1200 hours as outlined below:
Supervised hours: Classroom Training = 800 hours based on 16 hours per week over 50 weeks
Trainer supported study = 200 hours based on 4 hours per week over 50 weeks
Non-supervised hours: Self-paced study/research = 200 hours based on 4 hours per week over 50 weeks
Volume of Learning for Existing Licensed
he Volume of Learning for this program is 512 hours as outlined below:
Supervised hours: Classroom Training = 256 hours based on 8 hours per week over 32 weeks Trainer supported study = 128 hours based on 4 hours per week over 32 weeks Non-supervised hours: Self-paced study/research = 128 hours based on 4 hours per week over 32 weeks.
